Venison skins: Yummies treats are not made from cattle hide – we use venison skins like kudu, springbuck, wildebeest and warthog. All skins are dry when transported. Our venison skins are 100% hormone free.
Removing the hair: This is done by raising the PH of the skin which cause the hair to fall out. We do not use bleach at all. No tanning process is used. After the hair is removed, the raw skin’s PH is neutralized again – between 7 and 8. It is also free of any bacteria. We do not split the skin.
Each treat is then handmade – folded and twisted into different shapes and sizes. We do not use glue. We don’t fry or bake our treats, instead, our treats are air-dried.
