This diet is uniquely formulated (by animal nutritionists) for miniature/ small dog breeds of adult age. We know that breeds such as Chihuahuas, Pomeranians, Yorkshire Terriers, and Pugs suffer unique challenges due to their short stature, and so we’ve decided to help proactively combat these issues with an all-encompassing recipe
Health Issues Unique to Miniature Breeds:
- Dental Issues: Smaller kibbles for easy chewing as well as calcium and phosphorous for dental health support.
- Heart Problems: Omega-3 fatty acids and balanced nutrition to work together to strengthen the heart.
- Knee Issues: Joint-supporting nutrients like chondroitin, glucosamine, and green-lipped mussel extract as well as weight management support with L-carnitine to lessen pressure placed on the knees.
We have included nutrient-dense and easily digestible proteins like eggs, fresh meat chicken, and duck meal in this dog food for small dogs, giving your precious pup all the energy they need. The inclusion of beet pulp and prebiotics assists with digestive tract health, while L-carnitine is a natural fat-burning ingredient that assists in weight-gain prevention.
